Driven, dedicated, hard-working and always up to meet new people, Peter is one of AMS Promotions’ talented hospitality staff and brand ambassadors. He has demonstrated his talents and kept customers entertained as a bartender at multiple events over the year in South Australia and is eager for more!
We were so intrigued by Peter and his professional, positive, and infectious attitude towards work, so we caught up with him for a chat to learn more about his passions and what makes him tick.
What is your definition of success?
My definition of success is being happy, but I also believe fulfilling your goals you’ve set yourself for the day, month, or year. Whether or not they go to plan, you have pursued your passion.
What is your dream promotional or modelling job?
My dream promotional or modelling job would involve being flown out to a nice location and being well looked after – perhaps a television advertisement for a car!
If you could work anywhere in the world from any era, what would it be?
I would like to relive my youth, or perhaps even live in Paris during the 60’s or 70’s, pursuing a career as an artist.
Tell us something quirky most people don’t know about you.
Something interesting and quirky about me is that I love to visit Japan quite often. I’m also trying to learn the language. I love big cities like Japan.
What do you love most about people?
The thing I love most about people is that they can brighten your day, and you can brighten theirs. I like that I have the ability to find common ground with others, and make people feel good.
Camping or five-star hotel?
I am a 5-star hotel type of person for sure, but I did do a lot of camping growing up!
What is your life mantra, or a quote you live by?
A quote I love to live by, is “Hard work, most of the time, will beat talent”.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Growing up, I initially wanted to be a hairdresser. When I was a teen, I wanted to be a chef. Heading into my 20’s I eventually hoped to pursue modelling, and I was lucky enough to do it! Now, I’m moving into a niche, and really enjoying working in high-end watches and jewellery. It has become a passion of mine.
Throw in a plug for your favourite restaurant/bar/venue
My favourite restaurants are the Wasai Japanese restaurant, and the La Trattoria Italian restaurant. Both are located in Adelaide.
Where is your next holiday going to be?
My next holiday is in November, and I’ll be heading to Tokyo and Kyoto!
