We were so intrigued by Nimasha and her professional, positive, and infectious attitude towards work, so we caught up with her for a chat to learn more about her quirks and passions.
Tell us something quirky about yourself:
I learnt Korean with my three sisters through TV shows, so we could talk secretly in public.
Throw in a plug for your favourite restaurant/bar/venue:
My favourite bar would be the Sloth bar in Footscray, as it is a place to meet new friends and old friends. It is a community and the staff makes you feel welcome every time.
What is your life quote?
“Don’t be afraid of death; be afraid of an unlived life. You don’t have to live forever, you just have to live.”
What is your definition of success?
Happiness. If you enjoy what you do and find happiness in your day-to-day life, that’s what I would call success.
What is your life mantra, or a quote you live by?
Better late than sorry. (Trying your best until the end.)
If you could work anywhere in the world from any era, what would it be?
The Georgian Era in England, as I’m a fan of Pride and Prejudice.
What do you love most about people?
How different they are from each other, with multicultural backgrounds and individual experiences. How each person is unique in their own way, helping you to learn something new from each encounter.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I dreamt of being an artist when I was a child and later realised it was better off as a hobby that I can enjoy leisurely.
